Tips to avoid DUI cases

Here are safety reminders on how to avoid (if possible) DUI cases.

1. As mentioned "Daily" to drivers, Don't drink and Drive

Unfortunately, this is not regularly practiced, due to those drivers who even enjoy driving after drinking alcohol. The fact that drunk drivers do experience slow movement reaction plus a heavy dizzy feeling.

2. Do not go near anyone when you're drunk

Fast food chains, especially those on the "Drive thru". Folks commonly report these drivers caught drinking or with the scent of alcohol. In the event that a drunk driver went through the drive-thru of a restaurant, the employee's may report the driver, think of how long your food will be served in a drive-thru? and by the minute they serve you what you came for, the police will be there to arrest you.

3. Drive like a normal person

Even though you are dizzy, you should drive normally. To do this, just maintain your speed at a very low limit. Run like 40-60 kmph. Keep your window closed, to be sure that no one can see you wagging your head just to take the dizziness off.

4. And, in case an officer/police has you - DO NOT let them check your eyes and do test.

This is the spooky part, you'll have to avoid. Do it in anyway that the officer will not suspect you. Reason out (Make sure you give him a very reasonable answer). In case, the officer insist you to take the test, tell him you don't have to and you don't need to cause you're not drunk. Many officers do not follow or do the test procedures properly and by this, they will write in the arrest report that he/she has observed clues supporting an arrest for DUI.

There are many ways to avoid a DUI case, but I can only hand you this. For some reason, the tips shouldn't  be broadly scattered since the officers may find a way to counter all of these. Simply, if you don't want to get involved, do follow the Don't drink and drive regulation and or have a DUI Lawyer to assist you.

DUI case won via Knockout

I’ve read a DUI case article wherein a single working mother was arrested for DUI of drugs and traffic offenses. The DUI Lawyer filed a motion to suppress in order to do cross examinations on the trooper and sorts of stuff. Surprisingly, the court granted the request, which is obviously in favor of the working mother.

They did several investigations on the trooper and found serious evidence that may cause the trial to subside.  The trooper had no training on how to know if a person is under the influence of drugs. This was one of the biggest evidence the Lawyer had and focused on it. The video of the arrested mother didn’t look like an impaired driver, making the case favorable in the part of the accused.

As the trial goes on, the prosecutor then decided to reduce the case to reckless driving. The accused didn’t hesitate to agree with the prosecutor, taking less time in jail and avoided her license suspension. As a single parent, this kind of conviction will definitely be hard to shoulder, but the fact that she could’ve suffered longer without the help of a DUI Lawyer.
