I’ve read a DUI case article wherein a single working mother was arrested for DUI of drugs and traffic offenses. The DUI Lawyer filed a motion to suppress in order to do cross examinations on the trooper and sorts of stuff. Surprisingly, the court granted the request, which is obviously in favor of the working mother.
They did several investigations on the trooper and found serious evidence that may cause the trial to subside. The trooper had no training on how to know if a person is under the influence of drugs. This was one of the biggest evidence the Lawyer had and focused on it. The video of the arrested mother didn’t look like an impaired driver, making the case favorable in the part of the accused.As the trial goes on, the prosecutor then decided to reduce the case to reckless driving. The accused didn’t hesitate to agree with the prosecutor, taking less time in jail and avoided her license suspension. As a single parent, this kind of conviction will definitely be hard to shoulder, but the fact that she could’ve suffered longer without the help of a DUI Lawyer.
